Lucky escape for Mahindra
Mahindra United played out a fourth consecutive draw after Viva Kerala put up an inspiring performance to hold the hosts to a 1-1 draw in the I-League round seven match played at the Cooperage football ground here on Friday. Kerala's Thai import Wisoot Bunpeng put the visitors ahead in the 29th minute but Mohammad Rafi put Mahindra on level terms in the 54th.
In another match, Chirag United returned to the top of the I-League table after a 2-0 win over Salgaocar at Vidyasagar Krirangan, Barasat. Both goals were scored by Brazilian striker Josimar in the second half.
