New Delhi: India's P. Kashyap lost in straight sets to Denmark's Peter Gade 10-21,10-21 in the men s singles pre-quarterfinals of the Yonex Open Japan Super Series badminton in Tokyo Thursday.

Kashyap proved no match to World No. 3 Gade, going down in mere 31 minutes, according to information received here. With his loss, the Indian challenge in the tournament is over.

Saina Nehwal, Jwala Gutta and V. Diju s run in the tournament had already ended in the first round Wednesday.
