New Delhi: Saina Nehwal's victory in the Indonesian Open Super Series badminton championships did not quite translate into a good move up the ladder but the Indian improved just one place to seventh in the latest rankings issued on Thursday.
Saina, who was eighth prior to her victory in Indonesia, earned 1750 points to climb up a place.
Compatriot Aditi Mutatkar made a big leap up the table as she climbed from 36th to 27th.
Among men, Chetan Anand improved one place to 14th while Arvind Bhat remained at 27th place.
P Kashyap and Anup Sridhar both dropped a place to 33rd and 37th, respectively.
While Anand Pawar was stationary on 44th, Ajay Jayaram improved four places to 71st.
