Andy Murray has vowed to not let stardom get to his head in his renewed effort to clinch the title at the Wimbledon.

Murray will be taking on American Robery Kendrick is the first round of the tournament. Going by rankings, Murray is seeded to clash with Federer in the finals following Nadal's withdrawal from Wimbledon due to injury.

If Andy Murray manges to bag this title he would be forever inked in history. A fact also made all the more sweeter because he would be the first Englishman to do so since 1936. Murray arrives on the court with expectations and awe that could very well make him dizzy. An island hopes otherwise! 

Murray hopes to follow in the footsteps of fellow Englishman David Beckham, who shares the same management company, by keeping his performance consistent on the court.

"It's just one of those things, if you can keep the same friends, the same people you have around you and just try and be true to yourself and do things that are important to you..." Murray said.

"I ask my parents for advice because they're the ones who are going to tell you the truth, not just any random people because they don't know you as a person."

"I'll go and ask for advice and if they were to tell me 'You're acting up, or you're being an idiot on the court, or in interviews', or whatnot, I'd definitely listen to them. I'd be very disappointed in myself if I felt like they had to say that to me, but they haven't as yet and I hope they won't have to in the future." 

Murray reached the quarter-finals at last year's Wimbledon but was defeated by Nadal who eventually clenched the title for his own. 

Andy Murray will be going in cofidently to play against Kendrick who is ranked 76.
