Orlando: A final hole bogey denied Jeev Milkha Singh an even-par card and the Indian settled for a one-over 71 to lie tied 41st after the opening round of the the USD 8.5 million Arnold Palmer Invitational golf tournament here.
Indian-born Swede Daniel Chopra carded two-under 68 to be tied 10th at the par-70 Bay Hill Club and Lodge.
Jeev was not quite at home on his front nine, the only highlight of the stretch being his fifth hole birdie as against a bogey treble that left him two-over at the turn.
Things looked better on his way back where birdies on the 11th and 12th holes put him even-par before the 18th hole bogey sent him one-over.
Jason Gore fired a five-under 65 for a one-shot lead over fellow Americans Tim Heron and Jeff Overton who returned identical 66s.
