Rourkela: Hosts Orissa defeated Punjab 3-1 to set up a title clash against Madhya Pradesh who pipped Uttar Pradesh 3-2 in semi-final of 22nd All India Postal Hockey Tournament here today.
The final will be held tomorrow at Biju Patnaik Hockey Stadium.
Orissa's B Baxala scored the first goal in 18th minute to help his team surge ahead before N Tirkey extended the lead with a field goal in the 30th minute.
The hosts were leading 2-0 during the lemon break.
Orissa's J Dungdung again sounded the board scoring at 42nd minute.
Punjab s Bhagwat Singh scored their only goal at 63rd minute.
In the second semi-final, Madhya Pradesh's Sadiq Noor scored the first goal through a penalty corner in the 23rd minute, but after the interval S Pandey of Uttar Pradesh produced an equaliser through penalty corner in 47th minute.
S Haq (57th) and S Ali (58th) of Madhya Pradesh scored one goal each to help their team take 3-2 lead.
Uttar Pradesh will take on Punjab in the third-position play-off tomorrow.
