Kolkata: Mahendra Singh Dhoni's list of admirers keeps getting longer and the latest to join his fan club is former England cricket captain Ted Dexter, who has been bowled over by the Indian skipper's calm persona and intelligent man-management.

Dexter, who led the England team in 30 Tests in the 60s and is on a private visit to the city, said Dhoni has shown himself to be an efficiet captain, capable of inspiring confidence in teammates even in pressure situations.

"Besides being a fine wicket keeper, Dhoni is also a good batsman and handles his bowlers efficiently. Even under pressure Dhoni is calm... He can also generate confidence among his players and is always eager to learn," said Dexter.

Of the five tests Dhoni has captained India so far, he has led the side to four wins and a draw.

However, Dexter said the biggest challenge for Dhoni would come when he would be leading a side without veterans like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and V V S Laxman in future.
