TN gets 3 points after playing draw with Hyd

Margao: Tamil Nadu gained three points by the virtue of their first innings lead as their U-16 south zone Vijay Merchant Trophy match against Hyderabad ended in a tame draw at the MCC ground here today.

Tamil Nadu now have four points from two matches while Hyderabad have two points from as many matches.

Resuming at their overnight score of 88 for 5,Hyderabad were all out for 261 in 97.4 overs after lunch to concede a lead of 134 runs.

Tamil Nadu, in their second innings, were 36 for 2 with Baba Aparajith (8) and R Vishnu (4) were at the crease when stumps were drawn.

N Vinay Rao(109) and Rohit Rayudu scored (58) were the highest contributors for Hyderabad while Raju Aushik Srinivas finished with figures of 6-57 for Tamil Nadu.
