Thursday, November 20, 2008 21:45 [IST]

Kanpur: Sachin Tendulkar is back in the One-day side while Irfan Pathan also makes a comeback for the next two matches against England in the ongoing seven-match Hero Honda Cup series.

Tendulkar replaces opener Murali Vijay, who didn't play any of the three matches India won, while Rudra Pratap Singh, who played the first two games, made way for Pathan in the 15-member squad announced here Thursday. Pathan last played on the Sri Lanka tour in August while Tendulkar sought rest from the first three matches against England.

The next two matches are in Bangalore (Sunday) and Cuttack (Wednesday). The Squad: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Sachin Tendulkar, Gautham Gambhir, Virender Sehwag (vice-captain), Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Munaf Patel, Virat Kohli, Pragyan Ojha and Irfan Pathan.
