Yadav hits ton, Hyderabad draw with Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Arjun Yadav's brilliant unbeaten 117 helped Hyderabad avert defeat in Ranji Trophy's Super League match against Gujarat, which ended in a draw at the Sardar Patel Stadium at Motera.

Resuming with the overnight 45 for 3, Yadav's innings, during which he produced 14 boundaries, helped visitors to reach 287 for seven on the fourth and final day of the Group A match.

Gujarat bagged three points from the match, while the visitors could manage one.

On Hyderabad's part, after the visitors were asked to follow-on earlier, A Quadri (33) and M P Arjun (34) played supportive roles to Yadav to save the visitors.

For the hosts, Mohinish Parmar took three wickets, while Ashraf Makda took one.

Gujarat had scored 520 runs in the first innings. Replying to them, Hyderabad were bundled out for 225 in the first innings followed by the second session.
