CM opens inaugural All India Police badminton

Dehradun:The inaugural All India Police badminton championship began here today in the presence of Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri.

Khanduri declared the tournament open by playing a few shots with Uttarakhand Director General of Police Subhash Joshi.

Speaking on the occasion, Khanduri said such events would inspire the young talents of the state to join sports.

The four-day event, organised by Uttarakhand police, would be participated by nearly 70 shuttlers from 18 teams like Chandigarh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Nagaland, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Intelligence Bureau, National Police Academy, ITBP, SSB, CISF and CRPF.
