MLA urges Tata to ensure hosting of ODI at Keenan
Wednesday, October 01, 2008 22:08 [IST]
Jamshedpur: Former State Finance Minister and BJP MLA Raghuvar Das today urged Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata to facilitate the hosting of One Day International match between India and England slated on November 23 at Keenan Stadium.

In a letter to Ratan Tata, the BJP MLA from Jamshedpur East assembly constituency, said shifting of the match from Keenan would deprive cricket lovers of the state.

Das referred to the media reports indicating that the steel major was yet to release the ground for the one-dayer.

The BJP MLA said there was sufficient time to get the unsafe galleries repaired as the Jharkhand State Cricket Association was ready to bear the cost for the upgradation.
