Isinbayeva gets pole vault gold with record 5.05m

Beijing: Yelena Isinbayeva of Russia defended her Olympic pole vault gold here Monday at the Olympics and added a world record 5.05 metres to it.

Isinbayeva's 24th career world record bettered the mark of 5.04m she soared two weeks ago July 29 in Monaco.

Jennifer Stuczynski of the United States got silver with 4.80m and former world champion Svetlana Feofanova of Russia took bronze with 4.75m.
