Sri Lanka elect to bat against India

Karachi: Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat against India in the Asia Cup cricket Super-Four contest at the National Stadium here on Thursday.

Sri Lanka have made two changes to their line-up, leaving out Chaminda Vaas and Ajantha Mendis. Dilhara Fernando and Kaushalya Weeraratne have been included instead.

India also made two changes bringing in Rudra Pratap Singh and Pragyan Ojha in place of Yusuf Pathan and Piyush Chawla.

Teams: Sri Lanka: Mahela Jayawardene (Captain), Kumar Sangakkara (wicketkeeper), Sanath Jayasuriya, Chamara Kapugedera, Chamara Silva, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Kaushalya Weeraratne, Thilan Thushara, Nuwan Kulasekara, Muttiah Muralitharan, Dilhara Fernando.

India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Captain and wicketkeeper), Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan, Pragyan Ojha, Praveen Kumar, Rudra Pratap Singh, Ishant Sharma.
