Rashid extends lead at Lalit Suri Jr Golf

New Delhi: Delhi boy Rashid Khan extended his lead to three strokes at the end of the half-way stage of the Lalit Suri Northern India Junior Golf Championship at the Army Golf Course here Wednesday.

The youngster carded a score of par-72 for a total score of 4-under 140 after the second round.

Chikkarangappa playing in Category B was overall second at 142 while topping his Group. Vicky Sharma and Kanishk Madan were tied for the third place at 143. Trishul Chinnappa (Category B) along with Raghav Bhandari was tied for the fifth place.

Top scores:

Category A: 140 Rashid Khan (68, 72); 143 Vicky Sharma (73, 70), Kanishk Madan (69, 74); 150 Raghav Bhandari (75, 75); 151 Samrat Basu (79, 72); 152 Kunaal Bhatia (75, 77), Siddharth Semwal (79, 73), Ishaan Kanoi (75, 78); 154 Khalin Joshi (73, 81), Bhanu Pratap Singh (78, 76).

Category B: 142 Chikkarangappa (69, 73); 150 Trishul Chinnappa (77, 73); 153 Tarun Deep Chadha (77, 76); 155 Ankur Chadha (77, 78), 156 Rahul Ravi (75, 81)
