Rajasthan Royals enter semis

Jaipur: Rajasthan Royals thrashed Bangalore Royal Challengers by 65 runs in the Indian Premier League match here on Saturday.

Asked to bat first, Rajasthan Royals set a mammoth target of 198 runs in their allotted 20 overs, thanks largely to Graeme Smith who remained unbeaten on 75 and Swapnil Asnodkar's 50. In reply, the visitors could only reach 132.

For Royals, Sohail Tanveer took three wickets.

Ealier, powered by half-centuries from Graeme Smith and Swapnil Asnodkar, Rajasthan Royals made 197 for the loss of one wicket in their 20 overs against Bangalore Royal Challengers in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match here on Saturday.

Smith was the top scorer with an unbeaten 75 while Asnodkar made 50 at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to bowl.

Swapnil Asnodkar takes place of Niraj Patil while Sohail Tanveer replaces in Dmitri Mascarenhas in the hosts line-up.

Mark Boucher, Dale Steyn and Vinay Kumar have been left out for Jaques Kallis, Devraj Patil and Abdur Razzak in the Bangalore team.
