New Delhi: The Sports Ministry today accepted the Indian Olympic Association's decision to suspend the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) and said from now onwards, it would deal with the IOA in all matters pertaining to the national game.
Reacting to IOA President Suresh Kalmadi's letter yesterday, informing the ministry about the decision to replace IHF with an ad-hoc committee, headed by Kalmadi himself, the Sports Ministry today accepted the decision and conveyed its approval.
"IOA has informed us about the constitution of the ad-hoc committee and we have sent our response accepting the decision. From now onwards, we would communicate with the IOA only in all matters relating to Indian hockey," the source said.
