Narain wins A1GP at Brands Hatch
Sunday, May 04, 2008 22:54 [IST]

Brands Hatch (Britain): India's Narain Karthikeyan piped local hero Robbie Kerr to give Team India its second A1GP win here on Sunday.

The win at the Brands Hatch circuit was second for Karthikeyan, whose first win came in Zuhai, China. Karthikeyan made a number of unforced errors but still Kerr could not find his way past the Indian.

Neel Jani driving for Team Switzerland took third place.

Karthikeyan secured India's first ever pole position after beating Kerr in the qualifying session of the season-ending race Saturday.

India began the race with 40 points at 14th place in the overall championship and with six more in the kitty, they have every chance to push for a top-10 finish for the first time.
