All round display by Sharma helps IOC lift title
Monday, March 31, 2008 19:53 [IST]
Mumbai: A fine all round performance by Rohit Sharma powered Indian Oil to a comprehensive 74-run victory over Bharat Petroleum in the final of the Inter-Unit Petroleum Sports Promotion Board cricket tournament today.

The Mumbai Ranji middle order batsman cracked 51 while Saurashtra's Cheteshwar Pujara scored 57 to help IOC pile on 275 in their allotted 45 overs.
Steady bowling by Amit Dani, Vikrant Yelligatti, Rajesh Pawar and Sharma, all of whom grabbed two wickets each, helped IOC restrict BPCL for 201 in 44.2 overs.

Scores: Indian Oil 275 all out in 45 overs (Ajinkya Rahane 34, Cheteshwar Pujara 57, Rohit Sharma 51, Ravikant Shukla 42, Mandar Phadke 33) beat BPCL 201 all out in 44.2 overs (Abhishek Nayar 30, Pragyan Ojha 39) by 74 runs.
