New Orleans: Daniel Chopra dropped five shots over his final two holes but still managed to finish inside the cut line at tied 63rd in the USD 6.2 million Zurich Classic here.
Having reeled off six birdies against a couple of bogeys, Chopra approached the penultimate hole at four-under when things went horribly wrong in the second round.
He dropped a shot on the 17th and then the final hole came to bite him. A quadruple bogey was what the Indian-born Swede signed off with that completely undid all the good work he had done before.
Despite the final hole disaster, Chopra just about managed to finish inside the cut line after his rounds of 71 and 73.
At the top, Briny Baird carded three-under 69 to stay just one shot ahead of Peter Leonard (70) and Jay Williamson (69) at eight-under 136.
Japan's Shigeki Maruyama (68) and the American duo of Nick Watney (67) and Tommy Armour (68) share the fourth spot at 138. Source : PTI
