Patna: A fine allround performance by Deepak Mishra helped Dainik Jagran storm into the quarter finals of the third AIRTEL Media Cup, defeating ETV News Channel XI by 45 runs at the Patna College ground here today.

ETV captain Vinayak Rao won the toss and elected to field first. Helped by Ramesh Kuamr (45), Prasanna Singh (41), Deepak Mishra (37), Jagran put up a huge score of 237 for 7 in the stipulated 25 overs.

In reply, ETV were bundled out for 192 with Ashish (55) Ekram (40) and Alok Kumar (23) trying to steady the innings but getting out.

Deepak Mishra, Amrendra and Ansuman took three wickets each conceding 42,25 and 12 runs respectively.
