Monday, December 31, 2007 18:40 [IST]

Kanpur: The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association has decided to organise a special camp to unearth talented fast bowlers.

The UPCA has asked its affiliated units to send pacers for the camp to be held on the premises of Kamla Club here from January 10 to 17.

"We have 29 associations attached to us and we are expecting around 50 bowlers for the camp. We will select 30 pacers who will be sent to the MRF Pace Academy for training," PD Pathak, UPCA Secretary (sports administration), said.

Uttar Pradesh pacers Pravin Kumar, Ashish Wiston Zaidi and Abid Kamal will supervise the camp.
