I know I am handsome: Sreesanth
Wednesday, October 31, 2007 09:39 [IST]

New Delhi: Filmmakers down south may be clamouring to sign S Sreesanth but the pacer is in no hurry to become an actor and is completely focussing on cricket.

The mercurial 24-year-old was offered a role alongside southern superstar Mamooty recently but Sreesanth said he is still not ready to take up any acting assignments.

"I have no plans to do movies at the moment. I am totally committed to my career as a cricketer. I know I am handsome but all the actresses can wait," he quipped.

The pacer, who has drawn flak for his aggressive outbursts on field, sidestepped queries on whether he would be able keep himself under control in the high-voltage home series against Pakistan starting next week.

"I am not going to comment on that," he grinned.

He also chose to keep mum on the preparations of the team for the upcoming series.

The effervescent bowler was one among the Twenty20 World Cup winning cricketers who were felicitated by President Pratibha Patil at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Tuesday and he was awestruck by the grandeur of the historic building.

"This is magnificent. Being here just makes you forget everything," he said.
