FIFA president to visit India in March-April

johnKolkata: Federation of International Football Associations(FIFA) President Joseph Blatter will pay a three-day visit to India betweenend of March and early April for a first hand understanding of the footballscenario in the country.


"The final dates are not yet finalised but it will be between end of Marchor early April," All India Football Federation (AIFF) president P RDasmunshi told reporters here today.

"He is coming to Indiafor a first hand understanding of the Indian football scenario," Dasmunshisaid.

The issues that would be discussed with him by AIFF officials would coverfootball, technical equipments and marketing of the game, Dasmunshi, the Union I&B minister, said.

Blatter was likely to visit Delhi,Kolkata and some other cities.

His visit coincides with the 70th anniversary of AIFF.
