New Delhi:Brushing aside the violence unleashed by ULFA, Government yesterday (Jan 22, 2007) made it clear that the 33rd NationalGames would take place as per schedule and the security aspects would be takencare of.

"National Games will take place and the security and law order will behandled by the agencies concerned," Sports Minister Mani Shankar Aiyartold reporters here.

Aiyar, who chaired the first sectoral summit of the North Eastern Council (NEC)in Arunachal Pradesh last week, was replying to a question on the stepped upviolence in Assam.
