Indian team to have four-day practice session

Nagpur: The Indian cricket team will have afour-day training session prior to their opening One Day International againstthe West Indies on January 21, Vidarbha CricketAssociation sources said here today (Jan 11, 2007).

"The team members from various destinations will assemble by January 16night here and go in for a rigorous practice session from January 17 to 20before the Sunday ODI here," sources told sources.

They dismissed reports of a conditioning camp prior to the West Indies tour.

Meanwhile in another development, coach Greg Chappell and BCCI selectioncommittee chairman Dilip Vengsarkar had a detailed discussion with BCCIvice-chairman Shashank Manohar here yesterday.

"They sought time from Manohar for a discussion and since he had hisprofessional commitments in city and could not make it to Mumbai, the duo flewin here and later left for Delhi,"sources said.
