Gaurav Ghei looks for a good start at Pak Open

gaurav Karachi:Gaurav Ghei will look to build on his best season in a decade last year with asuccessful start at the Pakistan Open Golf to be played at the Karachi GolfClub here from tomorrow.

Ending an 11-year drought by winning the Mercuries Masters last September, Gheiis among the strong Indian contingent figuring in the Asian Tour season-openerwhich offers an increased prize money of US$ 300,000.

Also looking forward to make an impression on the Asian Tour 2007 season wouldbe SSP Chowrasia, who last year finished in the top-40 on the UBS Order ofMerit while coming close to winning on more than one occasion.

At Mercuries Masters, Chowrasia was leading by five shots after two rounds, butwas disqualified for not signing his scorecard.

In hunt of his maiden win is Amandeep Johl along with Rahil Gangjee, HarmeetKahlon, Amardip Malik, Arjun Singh, Digvijay Singh, Amritinder Singh, GurbaazMann, Naman Dawar, Vivek Bhandari and Rahul Ganapathy are the other Indians inthe fray.

Leading the home challenge in the tournament will be Muhammad Munir, who willbe joined by five other Pakistani professionals in the main field.
