South Africa elects to bat in Test match

Durban: South Africa won the toss and elected to bat against India in the second Test match of the three match series here Tuesday.

Wasim Jaffer and Vikram Raj Vir Singh have been given another chance to prove their worth in the Test. South Africa are without the service of the injured Jacques Kallis, who has been replaced by Andrew Hall. India won the first Test.

South Africa::Graeme Smith (captain), A.B. de Villiers, Hashim Amla, Ashwell Prince, Herschelle Gibbs, Mark Boucher (wicket keeper), Shaun Pollock, Andrew Hall, Andre Nel, Morne Morkel and Makhaya Ntini

India: Rahul Dravid (captain), Wasim Jaffer, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, V.V.S. Laxman, Sourav Ganguly, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wicket keeper), Anil Kumble, Zaheer Khan, Sreesanth and Vikram Raj Vir Singh
