New Delhi: In a further embarrassment to India, Doha Asian Games silver medallist middle distance runner Santhi Soundarajan has failed a gender test and is set to be stripped of her medal.

"Santhi was subjected to a gender test after the 800m final and she has failed," Dr Manmohan Singh, chairman of the Indian Olympic Association's Medical Commission, told sources.
