 Johannesburg: Indian captain
Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to bat in the first cricket Test against South Africa at
the Wanderers here today.
India,
expectedly, included six batsmen and four bowlers in their playing eleven. VRV
Singh was picked ahead of Irfan Pathan while Harabhajan Singh was left out.
South Africa
included no less than five fast bowlers in their eleven.
The match was delayed by an hour and half after the pitch was found to be too
moist this morning.
