Feeble Indian challenge ends in swimming Friday, December 08, 2006 04:06 [IST]

Doha:The
Indian challenge in swimming events of the Asian Games went virtually unnoticed
as the lone Indian swimmer in the fray today failed to qualify for the final on
the last day of competition here.
Arjun Muralidharan sank without trace in the men's 50m backstroke, finishing
sixth in the heats with a timing of 28.15 sec to end the miserable campaign for
the Indian swimmers.
None of the swimmers from India
could qualify for the finals of their respective events while some of them even
failed to record anywhere near their best timings.
