Ghosal reach top-50; Joshna drops four places
Friday, September 1 2006 11:07 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Riding on the back of a string of impressive results, Sourav Ghosal makes it to the top-50 in men's ranking in world squash while Joshna Chinappa drops down four places on Thursday (31 Aug, 2006).

Ghosal is the big mover, climbing up nine places to be placed 50th.

Ritwik Bhattacharya, whom Ghosal has beaten in the final of the Otters Open in Mumbai earlier this month, also improves his ranking by two spots to be 41 on the charts.

Chinappa, who has broken into the top 50 last month, cannot maintain her position and falls four notches to number 54.

This is despite the Chennai-based player grabbing gold medals in both the individual as well as team events at the recently concluded South Asian Games in Colombo.
