Shiv Kapur rear-end out in The KLM Open
Saturday, August 12 2006 15:58 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Zandvoort: Shiv Kapur was unable to effectively tackle the swirling winds, torrential rain and lengthy play interruptions and crashes out of The KLM Open with a second successive round of four-over 75 at the Kennemer Golf & Country Club here.

He totals eight-over 150 for the two days to miss out on the weekend action.

Soren Kjeldsen handles the challenging conditions well to register a second straight three-under 68 to be the clubhouse lead at six-under 138. Delayed play meant not all players have finished their second round.

Kapur starts on the back nine and had bogeys on 12th, 17th and 18th. On the front nine, he drops a shot on the first but birdies the second and third. He closes with two more bogeys on eighth and ninth.

Two hours and 15 minutes are lost in the morning and a further one hour and 55 minutes in the afternoon.

Others near the top are Ireland's Damien McGrane (68) with a five under par total of 137, alongside one of the first round leaders, Anders Hansen of Denmark who finishes his round of 72 at 9.10 pm local time.

Englishman Simon Dyson is even-par for the day and in tied seventh place while Thai ace Thongchai Jaidee is even-par for the second consecutive round to be in tied 45th spot.
