Kingston (Jamaica): It's been that kind of series. Neither side has done enough to win a match but both feel that they should be leading at this stage, with the final Test of the four-match series set to start at Sabina Park on Friday.

India had the better of the first two matches, the West Indies the third. Both captains, India's Rahul Dravid and the West Indies' Brian Lara, are to some extent disappointed with those draws. Lara, perhaps, a little bit more so.

"At the end of the one-day series (which the West Indies won 4-1), I thought we'd be up this stage. So I'm a bit disappointed," he said after another net session at the Kensington Oval.

"I thought I could sneak off to Germany (for the football World Cup) at the end of the second Test," he added, tongue in cheek.

"We should be winning this series, so there is some dissatisfaction. I want to see a finished product at the end," he said.

"I'd like to throw everything in for a win. It's important for us to get a win," he said.

Dravid didn't vocalise his feelings about the draws as plainly.

"We've dominated them in this series," he said after a morning fielding practice session at the Sabina Park.

"The boys are motivated enough to finish off the job here. We'd like to win and finish on a high," he said.

What will encourage both captains is that the last eight matches at Sabina Park have produced a result though both didn't seem to think much of it.

Dravid felt it would play low though he though the ball would grip and move initially.

Lara thought the pitch was without pace and bounce but added, "I spoke with Charlie (the groundsman) and he told me that it had. Charlie's been around in Sabina and we've got to trust him."

Lara also ended speculation that another paceman would be added to the 13-man squad announced after the third Test at St Kitts. "I talked with (Clive) Lloyd and (Joey) Carew and also (coach Bennett) King," he said.

"But we discussed how the series has gone. There was no discussion about any addition to the squad," he said.
