Veteran international winger Christophe Dominici has been ruled out of France's tour of Romania and South Africa later this month after suffering a fractured left eye socket.
Dominici picked up the injury playing for club side Stade Francais during the French championship semi-final loss to Toulouse on Saturday, team doctor for the Paris club Alexis Savigny confirmed.
The oldest member of the French team at 34 Dominici will be out for six weeks meaning he will miss their games against Romania and South Africa on June 15 and 26.
France team manager Jo Maso said he will be replaced by Biarritz winger Philippe Bidabe.
Dominici collided with Toulouse centre Yannick Jauzion.
A decision on possible surgery will be taken during the week.
